Digital Hyper Studios was hired by Delfino Media Group based in Burbank California to create two 15 second spots for Hot Shot Brand. Producer Don Ashley of Delfino Media Group and VP of Intergrated Sales Production at NBC Universal, Kevin Candido chose Digital Hyper Studios to help concept the bedbug character, draw storyboard content and create the entire spots in CG.

Digital Hyper Studios Owner, Jamie Byers says “The good Lord has blessed me with an incredible opportunity to help take my company to a new level.” Typically running solo on most jobs, he turned to pull in some extra help to make sure this would be an incredible piece to put on air. Jamie Byers handled the bulk of the job with preproduction of character concept, storyboards, animatics for timing as well as final animation and compositing. His team consisted of some outside talent which included Chip Weatherman out of Kansas who handled the lighting and texturing for the project, Erik Eukadus in Chicago, which built the skeleton rig for the bug. David Dustin in Georgia simulated the particle stream for the spraying shot and last, a local talent Robert Glosser of Charlotte NC to model the detailed props for the animation.
