Visual 23 hired Digital Hyper Studios to partner in graphic creation for a new website they were building for Mitsubishi Electric. The idea was to create slabs of environments that flipped over as the user navigated the website. Mitsubishi Electric is a world leader in air conditioning systems for residential, commercial and industrial use. Challenged to create air conditioning systems that provide exemplary performance in the wide-ranging climatic conditions found throughout Japan, our engineers develop amazingly sophisticated yet durable units and systems capable of constant use under virtually any natural climatic condition on earth. Each product is an amazing feat in its own, delivering years of quiet operation, energy-efficient performance and minimum impact on the environment.
I can say we really enjoyed creating this style for this mini site. Although Flash is a dying thing these days, it was useful for the moment to implement our cool environment 3d rotations. The artwork you see was created in 3DS Max utilizing older render technology of Splutterfish Brazil. Since then, Digital Hyper has moved to Vray as a main renderer. All comping was done in After Effects.
